Sanko United FC came into their match against SoB Athletic looking to close out the month of October unbeaten, after starting the season with 3 consecutive losses, Sanko FC have been on a tear all month as they climbed out of the bottom of the standings. SoB Athletic have struggled since their week 1 victory over Trading Laces, losing their next 5 matches, the SoB's were able to get a win last week against PAKA FC but still looked lost on the ball at times and looked disorganized, especially in the back. Having shored up their backline, Sanko was dominating on the ball, both offensively and defensively, chances were bountiful, but the finishing was not. The first half ended with Sanko holding onto a very slim 1-0 margin over the SoB's, had their strikers converted on their chances, the score line could have been 5-0.

The 2nd half played out much like the first, SoB's allowing Sanko to dictate the pace of the game and control the ball for long stretches. SoB Athletic found themselves on the end of a few poorly placed passes and lofted crosses into the box that would be cleared out or fail to reach their intended target. Sanko would get another goal late in the match to provide them with a little bit of breathing room as both teams starting to slow down, it was a very physical match for both sides, but Sanko would come away with their first clean sheet of the season to cap off a great run of form going 4-0-1 for the month October. Sanko will need to keep their defensive shape next week against 1st place Trading Laces who lead the league with +18 goal differential and the SoB's will hope to bounce back against Birdeaux FC next week.
