After a key victory against DMA in the week prior, the Ducks were now facing last-placed Bobert Leverkusen at Bristol Municipal Park. The Ducks showed up for the first half putting up a good display to get a 2-0 lead, demonstrating why they are the division leaders. Already in the second half, they were unable to extend their lead and as the clock kept running they seemed to get a bit comfortable with the lead allowing Bobert to grow into the game until they scored in the 80th minute courtesy of #20 Green. The goal from Bobert made way for a tense last 10 minutes but the Ducks’ defense was able to keep the result as it was for the Ducks to secure the win and the 3 points.
The Ducks will now face the league’s best offense in Aston Phila, hoping to get a victory that keeps them in the first place. As for Bobert they remain in last place and have a tough rival for the next game in DMA Young Boys.
