It was a  very entertaining match-up at Germantown as Statesmen FC put their unbeaten run to the test against the best offense in the league. The game had a frenetic start as both teams combined for 3 goals in just the first 15 minutes, resulting in a 2-1 lead for Statesmen FC.  Aston Phila managed to slow the pace down and control the ball a bit more to turn the game around with two goals before halftime. 

The second half started with Aston Phila in the lead but Statesmen FC were determined to tie the game up. They kept pushing forward and eventually found an equalizer midway through the second half, thanks to #21 Jenkins. The match once again turned into a back-and-forth affair as both teams looked for a go-ahead goal. It was Aston Phila who were able to capitalize on the opportunity when #10 Petrov found the back of the net in the 82nd minute to give his team the win and put an end to the Statesmen’s incredible unbeaten run to start the season. 

The result puts Aston Phila in third but with little separation from its closest competitors. They will look to improve their defense before their next game against the recently hot Bluestar Legends. As for Statesmen FC, their unbeaten run comes to an end but they remain in playoff position. They will look to bounce back against Roy Kent FC.
