CASA Select is an elite amateur division providing an opportunity for high-level play in the Boston area. Running under FIFA rules, it is a U.S. soccer-affiliated division connected to the pyramid, and the top division, Liga 1 will promote out of CASA and into the American Premier Soccer League (APSL). The division plays on primarily Sundays in locations around Boston.  See below for more information; the official rulebook/format/details can be found here.

Liga 1 is the top division of CASA Select.

Match Dates / Times / Format:

• Maximum of 10 teams
• Up to 18 matches throughout fall-spring season. This is a fall-spring continuous season. Estimated up to 9 matches in fall, up to 9 matches in spring, + Playoffs
• 11 v 11 soccer
• 90-minute games
• 3 referee system, USSF certified
• Match balls to be provided by teams
• Referee fees per team, per match = $120 Cash, Venmo, Paypal, Cash App (not included in registration fee)
• Match days/times are up to the home club & can be held in the following windows:
  • Saturday kickoffs with league approval
  • Sunday kickoffs between 11 am & 6 pm
  • Proposed match dates/ times are subject to league review before schedule finalization
  • CASA can assist with field permits as needed
  • Home match days/times for neutral teams will be consolidated to Sundays between 11 am and 6 pm kickoffs 

Promotion / Relegation / Cups:

• The first-place team will be offered a promotion spot to APSL through playoff and qualifies for the Patron Cup. 
• 2nd through 5th placed teams participate in promotion playoffs with the winner being offered a promotion to APSL (assumes 8+ teams in the division).
• All teams are eligible for State, Regional, and National Cups including local qualifiers for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.     
• Final promotion / relegation spots will be confirmed within (1) week of the start date

Rosters:

• Roster cap of 30 at any time during the league - players can be added or dropped (no fee to drop players)
• State affiliation registration included for up to 25 players (any player signed above 25 incurs additional charges including players brought back onto the roster from a previous time)
  • For the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd players registered on each team, the coach / manager is charged an additional player registration fee (see below).
  • The player registration count is cumulative after the first 25 players registered and DOES NOT cap out at 30 players.
  • Removing players from team after Week 4 DOES NOT deduct from the overall player registration total per team.

Prize Pool:

• Up to $4,800 prize pool to be distributed in June 2026.
  Prize pool to be split between the division champion, division runner up, and playoff winner per the rules.
• The total prize pool is dependent on the number of teams in Liga 1 division. E.g. 10 teams = $4,000 prize pool, 12 teams = $4,800 prize pool.

• Free Agent sign-up: $150
• HALF YEAR PRICING for teams that provide their own league- approved home field (payment plans are available):
  • $1599 team sign-up (super early bird)
  • $1699 team sign-up (early bird)
  • $1799 team sign-up (general)
  • $1899 team sign-up (late)
  • Pricing above includes:
    • Player registration for first 25 players registered
• HALF YEAR PRICING for teams that have CASA provide their home field (payment plans are available):
  • $1,799 team sign-up (super early bird)
  • $1,899 team sign-up (early bird)
  • $1,999 team sign-up (general)
  • $2,099 team signup (late)
  • Pricing above includes:
    • ALL Turf field rentals for home games from September - June
    • Player registration for first 25 players registered
• $120 match official fee per match paid by the captain / coach (not included in registration fee) - this is paid each match by BOTH teams, regardless of home vs away!
• $20 per player state registration fee for the 26th and onward player signed (first 25 are included in above fees, see above)
• Super early bird & early bird pricing will be applied as automatic discounts through registration
• All discount codes / automatic discounts must be used during registration check process or will not be factored in!

Fall 2025

• Super early bird registration deadline: Tuesday, July 1st
• Early bird registration deadline: Friday, July 25th
• Team general registration deadline: Tuesday,  August 5th
• Match Week 1: Sunday, September 7th, 2025

Spring 2026

• Super early bird registration deadline: Tuesday, December 16th, 2026
• Early bird registration deadline: Tuesday, Janaury 13th, 2026
• Team general registration deadline: Tuesday, Febuary 3rd, 2026
• Spring resumption of season: Sunday, March 22nd, 2026
