Founded in 2005 as a volunteer-led league with just twelve 11v11 teams in Philadelphia, CASA has grown into a thriving soccer community that, in 2024, now spans multiple regions and serves over 20,000 members. From its roots in Philly, the league steadily expanded, offering nine 11v11 divisions and a variety of small-sided leagues to accommodate every type of player. In 2020, CASA introduced the Icarus Cup, a flagship 7v7 tournament and festival of soccer, and launched leagues in Southern New Jersey. The growth continued in 2021 with the addition of three 11v11 divisions in Boston, MA, and in 2023, CASA brought the Icarus Cup to Austin, TX. This year, CASA added new 11v11 divisions in Lancaster, PA as well as Boston, MA, and partnered with the Lancaster Inferno to launch the region's first 7v7 Women’s+ leagues. CASA also debuted the Forest City Cup in Portland, ME, in collaboration with local teams eager to bring CASA tournaments to their community. With over 500 registered teams in 2024, CASA’s remarkable growth is driven by the dedication and passion of local organizers who are committed to bringing accessible, community-focused soccer to new regions.
