Trading Laces continue their high scoring ways with another win!

Still riding the high of their thrilling 5-4 victory over Sanko United FC, Trading Laces FC went into their match against the undefeated darlings of CASA, Sporting Serotonin, with the intention of dominating the game and making it clear their week 1 loss to S.O.B Athletic would be their first and last loss of the season. Feeling confident but not nearly as cocky as their opponents, Sporting Serotonin were unable to take advantage of the chances they were given in the first half, albeit they were half chances, they were chances nonetheless. Trading Laces struggled in the first half as well with their best chance coming from a free kick at the edge of the box that beat the keeper but sailed just wide of the post. With a 0-0 score at the end of the first half, both teams took the short time between halves to talk tactics and get themselves motivated and ready to come out strong in the second half.

Trading Laces FC midfielder and frontman, Jacob Snyder, was heard reminding his fellow teammates that a loss meant suicides after the game and a win meant a Kirkland Signature Pepperoni pizza party. That was all the motivation needed for his teammates as they would go off in the 2nd half, scoring 4 goals in total while Sporting Serotonin would keep it close, tying the game 2-2 with a brace from Olsen who would play 2nd fiddle to Marinov who would see his brace secure the game-winner when he found himself on the end of a beautifully placed free kick from Moore who would grab a goal and the game-winning assist on the day. With just moments remaining, any chance of a comeback for Sporting Serotonin would disappear when Alex Cauneac found a streaking Alex Mangiafico running into the box, with nothing but the keeper to beat, Alex M slotted home his team's 4th goal and secured the victory and more importantly, the pizza party, for his team. Sporting Serotonin put in a valiant effort but would suffer their first defeat of the season but have high hopes and even higher expectations for the rest of the season.
