It was a good even match between these two squads down at Germantown supersite. Statesmen FC controlled the run of play in the first half scoring 2 goals courtesy of #2 Washek and #19 Thompson. In the second half, Fortitude seemed to find their stride. They were able to generate a PK which they would unfortunately miss. They did not seem rattled by the missed opportunity and managed to score two quick goals to tie the game.

The game remained tied until the end of the match when Yoshi Hamada had an amazing shot that pinged the upper 90 for the game winner to beat a Fortitude keeper that had numerous saves that kept them in the game.
